How can you not be thankful for friends? It’s our friends who have rescued us when we couldn’t stand another minute of non-adult conversation. It’s our friends who showed up with banners and signs when you have a big moment that terrifies you. It’s our friends who offer you a shoulder to cry on when you’ve hit your limit and then reassure you that you can do it. We know that you can never truly say Thank You to those who have been there for you, warm cookies do help—and these cookies are more than just ordinary. They may just become your favorite go to chocolate chip cookie—as well as your friends. Don’t forget to share the cookie recipe with them because that’s what friends do!

 

Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Make approximately 2 1/2 dozen

MIX TOGETHER

2 sticks softened butter (must be butter)

1 egg

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 brown sugar

ADD

2 1/4 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

bag of milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips (a full bag will make these super rich)

Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 for 8 minutes. Don’t overcook! Remove at 8 minutes even though the cookies look undercooked. Cool and enjoy!
