December is a crazy time and sometimes family communication goes out the window. Don’t let that happen. The most important thing you can do with your family this holiday season is to create memories and the best way to do that is through time together communicating—especially if you use the steps of Effective Communication. When you use the steps of Effective Communication miscommunications don’t happen and you’re truly able to understand what the other person is saying.
Remember, that while the questions are fairly general, they may not be applicable to every child—especially some of the younger ones. Adapt and modify as needed to fit your family’s situation.
